Over the last few years, we began the journey of documenting the life behind the microphone of Dino Costa. The ups and the downs. His struggles, his mistakes, his successes. We covered everything from his homelessness to his newfound love for God. We covered his constant fights with upper management, his passionate relationship with his fans, the death of his son in a club in Seattle, his three marriages, the daughter he never sees, and much more!
We have covered Dino’s life as honestly and as objectively as possible. This film is a profile of his life. It shows Dino’s talent on the radio and some of his mishaps in his personal life. Everyone is flawed, and we were lucky enough to have Dino trust us to tell the story.
We have also included some of the things Dino complained about post-filming. After all the ups and the downs of the last few years this is what Dino had to say after viewing the final version of the film:
I thought @joelfranco did a vastly superior job in storytelling & improving continuity within the film…I was impressed with the score too
(Dino Costa – Twitter – April 11th, 2015)
He also added
@joelfranco As I stated [the] other day, Joel, I thought the film came out very well done…kudos on a nice job
(Dino Costa – Twitter – April 13th, 2015)
If you want to see Dino at his most vulnerable, open and honest, this is the film for you. It paints Dino as a human being. Love him or hate him, this film covers as much ground as we could in the time we had with him.
Thanks to the amazing work by Darko Nikolich (Cinematographer), Anthony Bernard (Editor), Marianthe Bezzerides (Composer) and Karol Urban (Sound Designer/Mixer) we are thrilled to offer this amazing film!
When Dino focuses on his talent, there are few out there who can match him. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
And that is what this film is all about.
